Executive Director

The central office of Southwest Oklahoma Community Action Group, Inc. is located at Lincoln Center, 900 S. Carver Road, Altus in Jackson County. This location houses the Executive Director, fiscal staff, and administrative staff, as well as some program staff. It is also the Housing Office, a processing center for RX for Oklahoma, and home to Lincoln Center Head Start. Other Altus locations include the Altus Meal Site, RSVP office, Southwest Enterprises & Adult Day Health Center, Southwest Transit warehouse, Wilson and Bailey Head Start Centers and ACMI House. Other locations in Jackson County are the Olustee and Eldorado Meal Sites. In Harmon County, we have the Hollis Meal Site and Hollis Head Start. Greer County has meal sites in Mangum and Granite and Head Start centers in Mangum and Granite. Southwest Community Action operates Elk City Head Start in Beckham County.

SOCAG history

Established in 1965 under the Economic Opportunity Act to serve Jackson, Harmon, and Greer counties of southwest Oklahoma. Since that time, our mission as a 501(c)3 private, non-profit agency has been to assist and empower low-income people in becoming self-sufficient and to benefit the entire community.
